Don't Forget

Don't forget the essential basics to pistol shooting.  Today I seemed to loose focus on the sights a lot.  You need to REALLY look and focus on those sights.

I also seemed to be trowing the first shot off to the right all the time.  I obviously wasnt focused on the sights.  When I took the time to pay close attention to the sights, the shot went good.  This is what must be done for each shot.  Focus on the sights, make sure they are perfect.  Another reason for this could have been jumping on the trigger, I noticed myself yank the trigger on one of the first shots.  Either way, be it not looking at the sights or yanking the trigger, it comes down to not compleating each shot before moving to the next.  I was obviously more worried about my next target than I was about making the first shot good.

Another thing I realised  today is where to move the gun from when going to the next target.  I caught myself starting the movement from the gun a couple of times.  This is wrong, even though I was rotating my whole body I was rotating from my wrist, causing the gun to twist in my hand towards the next target.  The rotation should begin from the theighs, the top half of your body being rigid and simply moving along with the twist from the hips.
